"As the Creative Director and co-Founder of Europa, Cynthia Shapiro (Cyn) has led her team of eyewear designers for 35 years and counting, overseeing the design of all of Europa's collections. Her eponymous collection, Cinzia is the hallmark of her personal style and much like Cyn, its designs are in a constant state of evolution.
In 2010 with the passing of her husband and partner Alan, Cyn took a step back from the day-to-day operations of the company to recharge. During this time Cinzia Ophthalmic settled in to a similar pattern and lost some of its identity. As Cyn transitioned into a new lifestyle, she knew it was time to recreate her Cinzia Ophthalmic collection with a brand new vision.
Every style in the collection is a reflection of the contemporary and versatile woman that Cyn is today. By utilizing muted colors and clean lines in her designs, Cyn has assembled a full collection of bold shapes that can be fluidly integrated into any modern woman's wardrobe."
